Even though we have known Leisha practically all her life, we only came to know her really well in the last couple of years when we became part of the prayer circle of family and friends. During this time, we were constantly in touch with her. Despite Leisha's devastating diagnosis, she never lost hope and clung steadfast to her faith. What really stood out was her incredible positivity which was not only infectious but inspiring, and her incredible courage in the face of adversity. Less than a month before her passing, we had some urgent charity work that needed to be done online with regards to a small family trust of which Leisha was a trustee. Anne was not available and we could not even consider asking for Leisha's help, it being a really difficult and painful time for her. Later on, we were amazed to learn that Leisha had completed this work despite everything. People resort to charitable pursuits after they have experienced life but at such a young age, Leisha had this selfless service-oriented attitude and an inherent disposition to help others. Leisha's life will always be an enduring reminder of how we should live our lives.
